As I have aged, and not necessarily gracefully, I’ve gotten far more liberal in my politics. I attribute this to the fact I want the world I leave to be better than the world I’ve lived in. That’s it.
Fuck taxing them cap executive pay no greater than 10x the lowest paid employee company wide. And pay would include all forms of compensation including stock options and bonuses. And if it was a REALLY good law it would include overseas employee’s in the 10x calculation.
That one day is literally to weed out employees and justify the companies expenditure on office space.
Don’t need much tinfoil to get to that conclusion.

As long as three different religions all think important fiction occured in Jerusalem I don’t think there will ever be peace in Israel. Does that mean a Palestinian state should not exist? No. It absolutely should and could.

I was walking around a Best Buy a week or so ago and took a look at the foldable phones. The things cost nearly as much as the new dual screen laptop from Lenovo! That and the fact the screens are still liable to break and I just can’t understand the appeal.
I have little faith the Supreme Court will uphold the lower courts decision. The Supreme Court is far too corrupt and unethical to do the right thing. Which is really damm sad to say.
It’s a civil suit so he could end having to represent himself and that would be even more tragically funny.
And the fact that it could very well be the end of any semblance of democracy the US has left if Trump and his ilk get power again.
I’m liking him more and more. He’s the kind of union leader more unions need. And it doesn’t sound like he’s gunning for the spotlight so he can be governor or a congressmen.

It’s strange reading about this. Once upon a time when I did insurance for hotels and motels there was a disabled lawyer who would file claims for hotels being out of ADA compliance.
He would travel all over and stay at random hotels in their handicap accessible room and proceed to measure everything. Door frame widths, toilet heights, diameter of the handlebars in the shower, the exact angle of the zero entry showers, height difference between outside and inside of the door. Everything.
Then he would fax us these 50pg+ claims requesting compensation for everything that wasn’t exactly in compliance. Usually this was after attempting to shakedown the owner/manager of the hotel. We would file the claim with the company and send the info to the agent telling them to talk with their client and get the compliance issues fixed.
After a while we started to also get claims where hotels would refuse him service because they knew who he was. The agents were warning their clients about him.
Far as I know the companies never paid a dime and just referred him to the ADA and denied the claims. They never said it outright but they would have preferred the hotels just binned the claims in lieu of filing them but understood why they didn’t.
Essentially Reaganomics is a complete and utter failure that dooms ~99% of the population to working to death and unions are one of many steps in correcting it.
I think it’s a pitch for a new IEM. Or a stomach.
Israel is an apartheid state (and arguably a genocidal one as well) funded by the US and Hamas is a terrorist organization. Both are wrong and shouldn’t exist. Would ending the occupation and creating a Palestinian state magically fix everything that’s wrong with the relationship between Israel and Palestine? No, but it would at least be two small steps towards healing.
But as I’ve said before with three religions claiming important fiction from their religion happening in the same place peace is unlikely. I don’t think even handing over control of Temple Mount to NATO and permanently stationing NATO troops there to unbiasly let Jews, Christians and Muslims in to Temple Mount would fix anything.
At this point I think the middle east pot has been stirred so thoroughly by world super powers there is no unstirring it. Now we all just have to eat the shit stew and hope it doesn’t make us too sick.
