Hello! I’m a POC (black/latino) autistic/ADHD dragon from Brazil. I use he/they/it pronouns, and my interests are usually gaming and drawing. Reddit refugee after getting banned multiple times for “threatening violence” for standing up against fascism.

JESUS FUCKING CHRIST!!!
This just reminds me of the absolute horror that was Call of Duty Modern Warfare (2019). The entire thing, with Warzone (that you couldn’t uninstall, btw) was 250 fucking GB. Like, what the actual fuck?
I still wonder how the HELL I managed to play that game with nothing but a GTX 950, an FX-4300 processor, and 8 GB of RAM. Which, even for 2019, was an absolutely TERRIBLE computer.

I remember once Fortnite did something similar and shaved the install size from 75 GB down to 30 GB or so. And now it’s mega bloated again…
Activision, Ubisoft, EA and Rockstar devs, please take note. Oh, and you too, ID Software. I don’t like Doom Eternal being 89 GB. At least Battlefield 6 is only 37 GB if you only have Multiplayer installed without the high-res textures.

Sony’s gonna look real goofy if Stop Killing Games actually becomes law.

And then they have to spend TRIPLE the money on contractors to fix the extremely hallucinated code.

Me, who had their original EA account that was linked to Steam banned thanks to insulting back a racist dude on text chat in Apex back in 2021 and thus can only play the game on the EA App on a new account:

I just got information that Super Mario Bros 2 is literally a fucking mod. Of Doki Doki Panic. Someone tell the Palworld devs to send this to their lawyers. What I would give to be a fly in the wall when the judge of the case gets this presented to them.

Hey guys, I guess Counter-Strike isn’t real. The over one million people that play it every day are just a schizophrenic hallucination.
WAAAAH HEEHEEHAH
*entire internet breaks*

Don’t you know? All gay relationships are NSFW, no matter what, kids CANNOT have their eyes exposed to two women holding hands, what if they start THINKING ABOUT GAY SEX???
oh wait it’s just people who literally cannot stop thinking about that projecting their feelings on literal children. Go figure.

This is not the thing a company who doesn’t care about the PR damage does.
You can’t censor everyone, Mastercard. You’re not putting that genie back in.

Windows is always updating its Secure Boot protocols so it makes sense.

Secure Boot is literally one toggle in the BIOS what are you talking about 😭

Yeah I agree they’re both terrible in their own regards, but cheating has become such a profitable industry that I don’t see anything short of government regulations or extremely aggressive anti-cheat solving it. And also, if a group of hackers managed to compromise an anti-cheat, I’m sure there would be terrible consequences for them. They’d paint a target on their backs and companies affected would go to the ends of the earth to make sure they got prosecuted. I think that’s the reason they haven’t tried yet, and just try to bypass it with quiet, advanced stuff that has no media attention. The worst thing a hacker can do is attract attention to themselves.

Honestly this isn’t a problem, since it’s simply looking at the checks Secure Boot makes when starting. The issue is still the deep root access. Altho, both BF6 and Cod’s anti-cheat only run when the game is on, so it’s uhh, less bad than something like Riot Vanguard.
Still terrible, tho.

Almost every old CoD game has this issue unfortunately. And too little people play them for Activision to bother fixing them.

Yep. And unlike most toothless consumer protection agencies in the US, Procon does not fuck around. They’ll even straight up force gaming companies to unban someone from a game if the person felt the ban was unfair, and force them to not only return their entire progress, but all of their items and pay them a sum for the damages. Add that to the fact suing in Brazil is completely different than in the US: everyone is assigned a lawyer for absolutely free during the entire process, and customers win cases against big companies all the time without ever having to spend a single cent.

Man if EVs get this much range on one charge and become mainstream enough I highly doubt people will keep regular gas cars as anything but a novelty. Either that, or people will start making a fuckton of money on converting those cars into EVs…
That house looks like it’s begging to be mercy killed.
How does your steam deck not explode from that?? I assumed ARC was like, heavy as fuck?
