Tory governments regularly ignore expert advice, even when they have commissioned that advice. Look into immigration and drugs policy in the UK and you will find the government often does the opposite of what experts advise them to do. It’s one of the ways you know they have an agenda other than “doing the right thing” or even “doing what is best for the country”.
That situation sounds totally different though. I don’t think this girl would have gotten a life sentence for dental injuries and a damaged helmet in Ohio either, lol
I wish BG3 had interaction between player characters in coop, I seem to remember DOS2 having that but it’s been a while and I never finished it.
BG3 is great. I’m at the end of act 1 in single player and a bit further back in coop. But “redefined what an RPG can be”? Am I going crazy or is this just the usual hyperbole for the latest game?
Starfield is probably going to be very similar to previous Bethesda games, as usual.
That is fucking horrible… Single dad who lost his wife to gun violence as well.
Rule 2 of the magazine is submissions have to be about US politics.
I seriously doubt current labour would be doing much nationalising.
Stellaris with the New Civilisations mod, mostly. Currently playing as the Dominion. Just declared war on the Borg before I turned in last night. Very fun.
Other than that, a little bit of Dying Light 2 for that zombie decapitation satisfaction.
Some drama is just down to their politics (authoritarian Marxist Leninist in the main), and some relating to their moderation based on politics (bans for users posting articles critical of China, allegedly). You should be able to search and find recent treads, here is one I still had a tab open from yesterday:
https://kbin.social/m/til@lemmy.world/t/171975/TIL-lemmy-ml-is-a-pro-authoritarian-CCP-shill-instance
Another part of this is people’s concerns about whether their politics influences their development of Lemmy.
I reckon I’d go in the left lane approaching the roundabout. Your exit is maybe technically “to the right” of entry but it’s marginal and that’s only a rule of thumb. You have to move to the left lane to come off anyway and you’re not going to be in anyone’s way going round are you?
Fair enough, that’s too bad. At my work there is no such policy and there are a few men who wear tailored shorts in the summer but it’s not overly common here either I suppose.
Is that even a complaint you can raise against the national archives? I didn’t think they would have stolen relics like the British museum has…
But how do you sit in an office chair with your feet on the seat, like I do, in a dress?
No, I refuse to sit properly.
Why arent you allowed to wear shorts?
I suppose it should introduce you to things you aren’t already subscribed to but I’m not going to cry over instances blocking things that are widely considered undesirable on that instance. I’m happy enough blocking things I know I don’t like manually for now. For others: go to e.g. https://kbin.social/d/yiffit.net, open sidebar and click the block symbol - change the domain at the end to block others.
The floor being on the bottom is an unofficial standard, at least.
I haven’t been playing it since 86, but I feel like I first found this on the internet over 20 years ago and played it every few weeks for a solid decade. It’s still really impressive to me today that it has such replayability.
God, I loved RoN! It was like a better version of Empire Earth which, to me, was already like a better version of Age of Empires.
I mostly enjoyed the era changing, my favourite being the Napoleonic era. And I remember it having a good choice of campaigns/scenarios to play.
I thought RoN would spawn a series of titles but I think they just had Rise of Legends which was interesting but definitely not the same.
That’s the point of the meme, lol
But also they specifically made her character unlikable. You were supposed to find her irritating in comparison to Walter, who is an objectively worse person. I think that was almost the entire point of her, to make you side with an objectively bad person over the other slightly less objectively bad person.
