I feel like anything they think they’ve come up with isn’t as beneficial as they are presenting. Not that no one else can innovate, but I really think if it was so simple or feasible, one of the big chip makers would have already done it.

If you are trying to MAKE something and you want that something to be as authentic as possible then sure, tabasco shouldn’t be put on pizza. But you are eating. Eating is for enjoyment or sustenance . Not rules.
But see this is america where workers have paltry few rights. So we do need laws about basic shit like this. In the IT field on-call and after hours work is just expected, you’re expected to answrr calls and emails etc. It’s awful. So it’d be nice if there laws against it.
But not at odds with running a corporate environment.
I mean to really change whether third parties work in the US we need systemic changes and regulations to the voting structure because getting a populist movement stateside is nigh impossible. The only reason to vote for someone that doesn’t represent you halfway is to hopefully prevent the person who doesn’t represent you at all from getting in.
We would really need changes to how voting is done on a regulation level to see the viability of federal 3rd parties. Some States do ranked choice which has really boosted 3rd party viability. I’d like to see that or something similar to it on a federal level.
It’s less a vote for Trump and more a lack of a vote for the party that can realistically defeat him. I wish 3rd parties were a viable federal election option. But they aren’t yet to a point where they can realistically win in the US.
So the sentiment that not voting, or voting for a guaranteed loss is a vote for the worse of the two parties with a chance to win isn’t entirely without merit, it’s just poorly phrased. It means that if you fail to vote for the person that can win over the worse candidate, you have given the worse candidate a better opportunity to win.

Perfectly fine attire. I’ve been getting jobs in IT since your level in similar attire. There are few companies that care about ties in interviews. And most aren’t the kind you want to work for anyways. Business casual works just fine

It wasn’t ever an issue of power or corruption. It was hitting the rewrite limit of the SD card itself. I had it on a UPS with my other network equipment and maintained a 100% uptime other than intentional outages with clean reboots. Literally wrote so much log info the card would die. You could still read the card but writing would no longer function.
The suggestion to do a read-only setup would be optimal, I’d prefer it be ram based though as I wouldn’t have such dire need of logs that losing them during a power cycle would cause me any grief.
My most immature take on that whole thing is that I wish we could evacuate all the people and then nuke the everloving shit out of the land to make it uninhabitable for a few hundred years. Then let it be a weapons testing site for the world. Just take the whole fucking thing off the board.

I’ve been tangentially connected to that area for the better part of 20 years now. Nothing has changed for the better, Israel is worse than ever, Hamas is worse than ever. The assholes that dumped the jews there post ww2 did the whole world a disservice. That country should be Palestine, not Israel, but neither side behaves the way they should. So it’s damn near moot at this point.
SD cards have a write limit. I don’t know what to tell you other than I probably had more shit being written.
I stopped using my Pihole because it kept eating SD cards. If that wasn’t an issue would love to be using it still.
