Kind of unrelated but if you are to start to learn about AI today, how would you do it regarding helping with programming (generating images too as side objective) ?

Having checking the news for quite sometimes, I see AI is here to stay, not as something super amazing but a useful tool. So i guess it’s time to adapt or be left behind.

ripped off an indie dev

This is inspired. If it is considerd ripped off, we wouldn’t even have Path of Exiles,Soul-like games,WOW-clones, ect. And checking the screenshots, the art direction looks different enough.

Higher res textures and shadow can be easy to spot. Go from lower setting -> high -> ultra setting, you can see the graphic different. Heavily Stylised game won’t look as good if you play it at lower setting compared to higher setting.

Gameplay/Graphic

Yeah. Skyrim still has graphic mods today, people mod Minecraft to look better. Play enough of pretty graphic games and the standard is set, it’s hard to go back.

I was just stating the norms of Japanese devs being bad at English. Not blaming it as the marketing direction is totally on the devs. One could argue the controversial marking worked and the game got more popular because of it.

For me, as far as marketing goes, trailers > reviews > steam description.

The most important part is try it. I tried Paradox games a couple of time, a couple tries later and I could see why people are into it.

Japanese devs and English go well together.

Check the trailers. I was put off at first but tried it after checking the trailer and read the reviews which most of them state that the exploit/slavery is not the focus. There is free demo btw.
