DeArrow is an open source browser extension for crowdsourcing better titles and thumbnails on YouTube. The goal is to make titles accurate and reduce sensationalism. No more arrows, ridiculous faces, and no more clickbait.
TIL about SponsorBlock and DeArrow, just wow!

Not well played by team imo, sad story but that’s not how you keep your privileges

What I really hope is that the fediverse doesn’t end up in a fragmented mess trying to catch up with Meta’s eventual extension of ActivityPub… What this project needs is a slow and steady (technological) development driven by the communities instead of trying to fit in with the big players. That’s what really did harm XMPP too IMHO.

Please don’t cry.
The thing is, ad companies don’t even need to track your searches directly anymore. Maybe one of your friends googles something, they know you’ve been messaging as apps leak these metadata, or know you were at the same party days ago because maybe you left location access on, and bam! You get the ad because it’s highly probable your friend told you about this interesting thing he found out…
Please do not buy worthless pieces of crap online, think sustainable and shop locally if possible
