    Assuming that the protesters only visit Reddit to send a message through Place, they are a drop in a bucket compared to the site-wide traffic generated by bots and the people who stayed, do not hinder the goal of sending that message.

    Based. Outrage clicks are still clicks, and clicks still lead to better metrics for the IPO. No publicity is bad publicity in the age of outrage media

      Leaving Reddit isn’t nothing. If everyone simply left, the value of the site would be 0. Goodbye IPO, goodbye Reddit, and spez ends up working as a Costco greeter.
