The ceremonial unveiling of the restored monument to V. I. Lenin took place in the village of Vinogradny in the Anapa District. The restoration work was carried out by a team of professional sculptors and restorers at the initiative of the City Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF) with the support of the Krasnodar Regional Party Committee.

The ceremony was attended by Anapa communists, restoration workers, and local residents. Local communists V.I. Gridchin, N.S. Naruzhny, O.V. Yantsen, I.B. Ignatov, V.A. Alekseyeva, and Pravda newspaper correspondent L.I. Yarmosh spoke during the event. They noted V.I. Lenin’s invaluable contribution to world history and emphasized that it was V.I. Lenin and Leninism that showed humanity the only true path out of the capitalist impasse. They also noted the enormous growth in popularity of Lenin’s legacy in the modern world, despite all the efforts of bourgeois propaganda to denigrate it.

The participants of the event also told the story of how a family from the village of Vinogradny saved the monument.

The restoration specialists were presented with letters of gratitude from the regional committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation and members of the family who managed to save the monument from complete destruction during the difficult years of the 1990s.

The honor of unveiling the monument was granted to the most senior party members, labor veterans Z.G. Mikhailenko and G.M. Shershneva. The unveiling of the sculpture was accompanied by a performance of the “Internationale,” and flowers were then laid at the monument’s base.

Lenin looks like he’s thinking, "Go on, play in my face!” I love it!
