In order to get the “honour” of selling apple crap, a retailer has to commit to a certain dollar value of inventory-on-hand. If those units collect dust in that retailers back-room, Apple doesn’t give a shit. And it’s notoriously difficult to RMA unsold product to them. Source: Previous Tech Sales Manager at Staples.

(when I was there) Edited because my old brain had to remember the dates. In 2013, we started selling ipads. it was a few years later that they added MacBooks

There’s a reason Apple reports “Shipments” instead of “Sales”.
