My dad looks almost as hug shaped in cat ears as he does in bear ears. Anyone looks hug shaped as a kitty cat. Hearing a huge guy with whiskers, fur/body hair, and kitty ears purr up a storm would be so neat.
(But I’d still rather hug a catgirl. They seem a little more snuggle shaped, if less likely to give a good squeeze of a hug.)

Yep. The less stereotypically “catgirl” you look in a set of kitty ears, the more silly and funny it ends up being. Especially when you respond to the giggles by meowing.
(And the more you look more like a “bear” than a kitty, the funnier a “big cat” joke will be.)
