What’s the timeline for dedollarization globally? Like three years at this point?
It’s going to continue gradually for years. More and more deals will be in RMB and/or local currency. There’s never going to be a clear point where we can all say “dedollarization achieved!”. The dollar will simply settle into a significant but not dominant role as a trade and reserve currency alongside several others, and general use of local currencies in trade will increase as well.
