If you create a community, please try and populate it with content. I see a lot of new communities with 0-1 posts from the mod. That’s not nearly enough to get people engaged - users are going to see that it’s a ghost town and leave.
If you have enough interest to create a community, you probably know something about the subject matter, so PLEASE add some posts (5-10 would be a good start). Maybe some questions to get people talking, even popular reposts from other sites. It sucks shouting into a void, but if you don’t do it, everyone else will also be shouting into a void.

Muita gente decidiu criar comunidades no hype da migração do Reddit, muitas até semelhantes em diferentes instâncias na sua maioria sem qualquer post. Tal como no Reddit comunidades sem conteúdo não tem seguidores.
Já existe bots para cross-post Reddit -> Lemmy, ou podem fazer manualmente.
Tenho ouvido esse papo também, mas isso não consumiria a API e geraria custo pra quem fizesse o crosspost? Talvez usem um proxy? Não sei
De todo modo, os subs maiores nem precisa fazer muito esforço, são muito genéricos e acontece organicamente.
Mas comunidades mais nichadas não adianta querer criar a cópia antes de todo mundo e achar que vai explodir não. Ou gera conteúdo ou espera sentado alguém que faça.
