Libreddit does this, and it shows a pointer when you hover over the bar/header where the username and upvote count are, to indicate that you can collapse the comment by clicking.

I mean there’s a dedicated icon buttom for it. I see the idea and enjoy that Jerboa collapses posts when you click on them, but I don’t mind clicking the button in the web interface.
Make it optional please. I don’t want this to be shoved into my face.
