The federation/defederation process seems pretty quick. As I understand it, Beehaw will not be refederating until better mod tools are available or modding otherwise becomes possible. Lemmy.world users are still able to see content from beehaw, which has been causing confusion for many of the newcomers. These users can think they’re engaging with beehaw but their comments and posts are never seen. This is what I’ve picked up between my experience and various comment sections over the last 24 hours. It seems to me that there are valid arguments in favor of defederating.
clients could make it more obvious when seeing users / content that are defederated. warning: they won’t see your replies
