Could AI be used to offer a translation of every wikipedia page into all possible live languages ?

    Yeah, that’s a really sweet idea! You could do it with basically any one of the models out there. The GPT3 api could do it.

    It could, but the quality wouldn’t be any better than putting it through Google translate. Which is far from amazing

    As much as google translate I suppose. There’s no guarantee for the quality of the output.

      I guess it’s going to be different. It could be a bard based gtranslate, llama, anything, but for sure its going to be a much bigger improvement for minor languages

    Probably. How could we try it first? I am interested in translating to Arabic.

      You can find browser extensions that offers AI translations of webpages. To do it with mass scale we’d need a crawler to collect all those missing pages, automate the translation and then push the new tranlated pages
