guide for installing Docker on a phone https://crackoverflow.com/docs/system_administration/containerization/install-docker-natively-on-android-phone-and-use-it-as-a-home-server/
Why not just limit the battery to 75% charge with TLP? Then your server phone also has a UPS
Yeah I was thinking that too actually, I don’t see the benefit of ripping the battery out entirely.
It’s interesting for older phones with an already dead battery. I think I’ll try it with a couple ones later.
I find even a mostly dead battery is still worth keeping cause it prevents interrupts if there’s a short blip in power.
That’s a good point, but will only work if the battery is near dead, but still allows the device to be turned on, right? Or would there be a way to make use of completely dead batteries in my case?
Oh yeah if it’s completely toast then yeah you’d have to remove it.
