My mental stereotype of north koreans might be wrong but I picture them as hicks who’ve never even seen a computer or smart phone. Imagine being that backwards and being thrown into a cutting esge drone war

I don’t regret logging out of my Lemmy.ml account, not seeing confidently incorrect racism be constantly upvoted on .world has been wonderful for my productivity and mental well-being.

Their statement is “I might be wrong but here’s a wildly racist stereotype anyone can look up and disprove, and I fully believe it.” Fucking liberals.

That thread is like a bizarro world Hexbear where instead of celebrating death upon the whiteys and unlimited genocide on the first world, they’re just boring old racists. We’ve flipped their racism on its head so thoroughly that going there and reading it feels downright exploitative, it’s so primitive and boring. They even linked the DPRK army orchestra playing Killing in the Name Of video, as if it wasn’t cool as hell? We literally live in opposite versions of reality.

Oh, also, they’re unironically Hitler. Sometimes you forget that the “unlimited genocide on the first world” meme is a sarcastic inversion of the sentiment these groyper fashoids hold in earnest.

I thought that video was a composite of a video of the DPRK Army Orchestra and the audio of some other orchestra playing “Killing in the name of”.

Honestly it would be so cool if it was real. It’d be like how when people say Winnie the Pooh is banned in China then you show them people having fun in the Winnie the Pooh part of Disneyland Shanghai; someone says “uhh actually they don’t have any Western media in NK” yeah ok buddy then explain this!

My issue with using this video as agitprop is that the subtlety of all the liberal aussies jerking off about their individualism and their unique self expression, while all ironically sounding exactly the same and having the same haircut, would 100% be lost on the target of the agitprop. We need more blatant agitprop, this cinematic, poetic irony stuff is never gonna work on pre-sapient westerners.

I mean, as much as the “MAGA Communism” people are disgusting fascists who share almost nothing with us, their ability to convince some limited number of reactionaries that communism is good (and the weird, revised version of communism that is more like what American history books teach than reality) despite being very blatant about the symbolism and the language of their movement needs to be studied. I think that the prevalent pipeline theory of leftist radicalization, where people need to be held by the hand to become socdems first, then demsocs, gradually getting more radical in several steps, is not necessarily complete and could be complemented with an understanding of cases where being exposed to a radically different mode of analysis and ideology can be convincing to someone who currently feels they don’t have a system through which to understand the world.

But yeah, if you try to quote Lenin to a very self confident lib you’re probably going nowhere. Those people need to learn humility first, which is why I support an American century of humiliation xi-plz

Good thing the North Korean troops brought along their national flag to flaunt in this war they are being secretly deployed in.

That is so clearly a cheap shit flag bought off alibaba or similar, no flag that’s being used in the field is that creased. This is embarrassing.

I have flags I’ve used at one rally that are less creased.
