Alexander Mercouris, who does daily videos on the conflict. While he is a reactionary and surrounds himself with likeminded people, his daily update videos are relatively brainworm-free and good if you don’t want to follow Russian telegram channels to get news. He also co-hosts The Duran, which is more explicitly conservative, racist, sexist, transphobic, anti-communist, etc when guests are invited on, but is just about tolerable when it’s just the two of them if you want a little more analysis.
Simplicius, who publishes on Substack. Like others, his political analysis should be soundly ignored, but his knowledge of weaponry and military strategy is generally quite good.
On the ground: Patrick Lancaster, an independent and very good journalist reporting in the warzone on the separatists’ side.

these are indeed heady concepts david, with many balancing factors and tradeoffs. if only there were some objective measure we could use to compare this situation, like say number of civilians killed, number of hospitals/schools/pieces of civil infrastructure/places of worship destroyed, or number of journalists executed. if we had something like that we could begin to cut this gordian knot as posed by your incisive rhetoric, but alas
I’m tempted to learn if he has carefully defined and delineated what a journalism is in Gaza so he can downplay their murders. I’m sure my hunch is right and he’s snidely demoted them to being something like “citizen bloggers” or “Tiktokers” or “posters” or whatever. But maybe he’d even admit that their killings if intentional are war crimes that should be prosecuted. As if it’s hard to tell when Israel does targeted killing. Like when they merc paramedics who are driving down the road in their well-marked ambulance. Or they blow up a hospital.
He’d never admit to what it really comes down to. I bet if push comes to shove - he thinks of journalists or doctors or paramedics or any civilian getting maimed, injured or killed (in Lebanon and Gaza and perhaps in Iran soon) as little more than human shields.
yeah there’s no one who can say anodyne shit like that about gaza without intentionally doing so to cover and whitewash genocide. he clearly deserves to play a starring role in that
sequel. these big brain data driven academy addicts spout all their shit while ignoring the really obvious and objective metrics that can be used to actually analyze and compare these atrocities
