I nonjokingly tie some of that “NoFap” chud ideology to the chud concept of “wizards” from years back. They tried to rationalize their own frustrations about not getting laid, felt a vague sort of shame about masturbating, and decided to make a creepy and self destructive cult mentality glorifying the one part of human sexuality they had some control over: themselves.
