He is starting to suspect Karl Marx fucked him over personally with his socio-economic theory. It has, however, made him into a very, very smart boy with something like a university degree in Truth. Instead of building Communism, he now builds a precise model of this grotesque, duplicitous world.

Eh, super small L. Russia was very vocally attempting to prevent doing such a thing. They gave repeated warnings about NATO encroachment while the US media was publishing things like “Here’s why the bloodthirsty Russian can’t wait to invade Ukraine by Lockheed Martin Rep Bill MilitaryIndustrialComplex Smith”. I doubt it’s a coincidence that the invasion came just days after Zelensky said Ukraine would be willing to host NATO nukes. And frankly, the longer this has gone on the more information we learn that justifies Russia’s actions. Remember, despite Putin being a “bloodthirsty monster”, within two months there was minimal infrastructure destroyed and a treaty that NATO/Ukraine broke.
