I think it’s less “why can’t they do art” as they found an artist that does “free non-PC commissions” and are willing to put up with all kinds of shit. Churning around the chans you can see chuds sharing prompts and suggestions. However they are accidental pen-testers because they are trying to coerce “safe” models to generate Nazi imagery and such. A lot of their excitement comes from this “hacking” that they share widely. In their minds they are getting around the “DEI/BLM/CRT/PC/XYZ/PDQ” censors, and showcasing this work inspires other non-technical chuds to follow. It’s not terribly different than meme creation.
