This was a pet peeve of mine, but when members of Congress bothered to file their disclosures under the STOCK act they made sure to scan the documents as PDFs and NOT OCR THEM
Making consuming the data, when they bothered to disclose it, more of a pain in the ass.
Fuck them.
This was years ago, I looked into maybe building something to consume the data and that killed the project dead because I didn’t want to dive back into OCR and fixing up data
