    Noooo central planning is inherently inefficient you can’t just say you’re going to build infrastructure noooooo

    Meanwhile, the capitalist solution: have 100 individual companies, all looking for a handout to build one bridge, all running their own internal ERP (oh look, central planning) that requires 15 full time salaried techno-mages making a blood sacrifice to SAP to even get a single truckload shipped out

    I keep seeing this come up and it’s an unfair comparison.

    California is one state, China is a whole country.

    Please compare California’s 0 km of high speed rail to an equal sized amount of China, by either population or landmass
