The gameplay looks intriguing and everything from the combat and the gray text boxes is indeed very reminiscent of Parasite Eve. Less so the overtly anime art style though. While the characters in Parasite Eve were designed by Tetsuya Nomura, the game had this semi-realistic look since it wanted to really sell its real-world New York setting that was in contrast to Square’s more fantastical games.
I will say that these PS1 retro throwback 3D graphics drive me up the fucking wall in way deliberately retro 2D games just don’t
