Israel’s military said it carried out a strike targeting a Hezbollah commander in the Lebanese capital Beirut on Tuesday, in response to a deadly attack on the occupied Golan Heights over the weekend.

Senior Hezbollah commander Fuad Shukr, who was the alleged target of the strike survived, security sources told the Reuters news agency.

At least one woman and several people were wounded by the strike, Lebanese state media reported.

MEE is usually pretty accurate but the wording here is indeed strange. Maybe they mean they have confirmed that one of the victims was a woman and the rest is still unknown.

I truly wasn’t trying to disparage the source, it was just phrasing that jumped out at me as being a little off

I agree with you that weird language like that is worthy of pointing out and I’m glad you did. It helps being aware of language used to paint narratives so I’ll keep it in mind more when reading their articles to see if this was a one-off.
