A lot of people are contributing to English Wikipedia, especially topics that haven’t seen attention from the international audience.

The main obstacle to multipolarity is the Wikimedia Foundation funds donated by the Democratic Party of the United States and employees with ties to the government.

In certain topics, NPOV is not always guaranteed.

No encyclopedia is perfectly neutral, especially Chinese and Japanese Wikipedias.

Too many government alphabet soup agencies in THAT particular kitchen for WMF to ever see multipolarity. An actually, nationally-egalitarian, fully-open-source wiki would have to open up and actively deny government actors from accessing its backends for that to ever happen.

The Wikimedia Foundation is basically the Council on Foreign Relations. It’s never going to adopt multipolarity in earnest even if it were to claim that it did. It’s not going to have a Neutral Point of View in cases where that rubs up against bourgeois ideology or imperial core hegemony. Wikipedia is only neutral when neutrality doesn’t threaten the liberal international order.
