Most liberal propaganda is no longer just CIA:

• The NGO-Industrial complex does a ton of the work the CIA used to do even without having a direct tie to the CIA itself. Funding is self-reinforcing through naked business interests and the use of NGOs as tax shelters and nepotism daycares.

• Academia is well-captured due to both funding (academics must constantly seek grants from capitalists / bourgeois governments) and administration (who operate universities as real estate financial ventures).

• Newspapers have fully converted to access journalism hacks and connected editors that focus on what their advertisers and oligarch owners want and what their government sources tell them to publish. Sometimes that is CIA but it can also just be some Senator’s aide. They’re that captured.

• A large number of true believers in the liberal system have absorbed a sufficient amount of fictional capitalist canon that they refuse to believe even basic facts right in front of their faces. They will actually get angry at you for contradicting them in the first place. The nature of “discourse” is itself captured by the media system, advancing what is sometimes called called “the spectacle” to a much later stage. The idea of reading a book on a topic, let alone one that disagrees with your ideology, is unfathomable to these committed liberals. That’s just not how things are done! Of course they will still do so with fascist materials, but that’s because their ideology is compatible with fascism.
