I came across this community on suggested page and was surprised the f-35 still had issues. Quick google search and I find this 😭
I wouldn’t say the pilot “safely” ejected. He landed super close to the plane and ejection devices cause injury (they have to force you out of the cockpit, imagine the pressure in that seat). He also ejected while the plane was on the ground, meaning his parachute didn’t have time to properly slow him down.
From the video you can tell the landing was painful just judging from the speed of descent.
The kicker? The plane stopped moving right after he ejected.
I wonder what caused it to completely nose dive after it hit the ground.

I’m not an aerospace engineer and have no idea about planes, but you can see there was some diagonal thrust from the back that pivoted the jet forwards. That’s about all I can say, no idea what caused this thrust.
