“The Bet” (also known as The Gun) is an unproduced episode for Season 2. It was not made due to its controversial subject. It would have been the fourth episode of season 2, and would have aired on February 13, 1991. It was replaced by “The Phone Message”.
I don’t feel like reading an entire seinfeld episode script, what’s it about and what made it so controversial?
Elaine buys a gun and brings it to an airport.
Elaine wants to buy a gun, chickens out, buys a toy gun, then they all go to an airport to prove a bet if Kramer slept with a stewardess or not. Gun falls out of the purse.
It’s pretty mid.
Yeah but shortening it to “elaine buys a gun and brings it to an airport” leaves much more to the imagination which is what Larry Charles should’ve done. Just end the episode as they’re walking into the airport, fade to black as you hear Elaine go ‘boarding pass? oh yeah I have it right here sound of gun hitting the ground’ and terrified screams as an uncredited police officer (Larry David) shouts ‘ON THE GROUND NOW’
That absolutely would have been much better!
the seinfeld episode you should be reading is the one about 9/11
someone posted it here on hexbear but I can no longer find it
