I eventually gave in and fed them, and I’m still half convinced they have tricked me.
I feed my cat twice a day, and I have a little piece of paper next to the food with breakfast written on one side and dinner on the other. Now the cat can no longer gaslight and bamboozle me.
I usually just mock them and say things like “mEoW mEoW mEoW that’s you that’s what you sound like” but this time they coordinated to block my path with a united front of spinning and screaming.
Oh yes mocking them is very important
My cat just keeps whining for more food if none was dispensed in the last half-hour. Even if her food bowl is full, she needs it topped off.
Mine will lead me over to her full bowl and say “See? It may be empty eventually. Please add 5 treats on top.”
