Contraceptives will soon become free for women in Canada as part of first phase of the National Pharmacare Program.
This is great and all. But it’d be even better if there were more awareness campaigns on male contraceptive options and a bigger push for the male birth control pill.
I mean, free condoms wouldn’t be that bad of an idea, not everybody can take the pill. But didn’t all male contraceptive pills so far fail trials? Not sure if it’s even still worked on…
So does this bill make condoms free for everyone? It would be weird and sexist imo if they don’t do that.
To me it sounds like it’s only for female contraceptives.

Okay, so what about Plan B? $40 for a single use pill is beyond absurd. That’s a week of meals for some people because they had sex.
