ProtonVPN or Mullvad. ProtonVPN has support for port-forwarding while Mullvad is more privacy respecting (being able to pay with cash/no need to sign up using an email).

I personally use Mullvad currently and it’s only $5 a month.

Will they not just get access to all your details when they see all your internet traffic?

Edit: or is it more so that your bank doesn’t see?

No, all traffic over https is encrypted in transit so while in theory they can see the IP addresses on either side of the connection, they can’t see any actual data being moved between them. Also Mullvad claims no logging of networking info and haven’t released any after being raided by law enforcement in the past so I trust the claim at least more than most

    ProtonVPN.

They do require info to sign up for payment but they don’t keep logs so it doesn’t matter. All people can figure out is that you pay for a VPN, nothing wrong with that. There’s a difference between anonymity and privacy, if you want anonymity then maybe try another but otherwise ProtonVPN is very solid for privacy. You can also use the free version if you prefer or don’t have money for a VPN.

I’ve used Mullvad for a couple years. Good quality, very rarely I have to turn it off for a specific website.
