I’m starting to read after a very long time - it has been decades, since I’ve “read” anything properly. Can I get a good recommendation?

The expanse is a fantastic series. Also, I’m legally obligated to shill for 40k whenever someone mentions SciFi so, there’s like a million really good 40k series. Ciaphas Cain and Gaunts Ghosts are my recs for sure. Non SciFi, Harry Potter or any of the Rick Riordan books are fun YA novels.

40k? You mean the Warhammer series? I’ve heard memes and short lores in general about this series.

        Yes.

There are a lot of books set in the WH40K universe. They’re a bit hit or miss, as there are so many by multiple authors, but a lot are extremely good, dark, sci-fi. Do look up reviews on which ones are worth the read.

Once you get into the lore a bit, the memes become twice as good, too.

        FOR THE EMPRAH

Yessir. Like the other commenter said there are definitely some stinkers, but the series I mentioned (in my opinion) are all bangers.
