Ukraine said on Sunday that it was vital that Beijing was involved in talks to end the conflict.
It’s interesting that even Ukraine knows China is a peacemaker, given they’re requesting them to come. It really shows that despite the image the US Empire makes itself as a spreader of “freedom democracy”, everyone knows that it’s a lie.
The cynical view of this is that Ukraine is trying to use China as a lever against the US, the implication being that Ukraine will serve China another diplomatic win (after Saudi-Iran) if the US doesn’t resume support.
I don’t think it’s going to work even if it’s true, but Ukraine doesn’t have many levers left.
