    This is such nonsense. Western press always makes it sound like we are on the verge of being invaded by Mainland China. Most of us want nothing more than to be left alone.

      It was more than a little telling that they used to frequently refer to Taiwan as “China’s Cuba”. Now the comparison is to Russia and Ukraine, which just seems like wishcasting.
