Also you’re right, Americans by and large don’t investigate political ideology, even their own. It’s a hobby for most people. Everyone else just goes along on standard American vibes and only figures out what they think when they have to come up with answers to questions.
The standard American ideology is “I can do and say whatever I want and I’m not gay. I’ll do whatever it takes to never be mistaken as gay”

It really is the only thought going through a lot of white guy skulls. They have no other concerns or political opinions beyond just that
