      it’s from a vice documentary on the Donetsk People’s Republic. If I remember right, this guy’s call sign was Vladimir Ilyich, and he just got out of some beef with a rival group of militia guys. So this is his response after being asked what Vladimir Ilyich [Lenin] would do.

          It’s not a quote from Lenin, the words are from the guy in the video. It was more like a dark joke during a difficult time (start of the civil war in Ukraine) where different groups of opportunists try to take control in an unstable situation. More like a play on words that his call sign is Vladimir Ilyich, and the joke was that he was being asked what he will do, yet he answered what Lenin would do
