I’ve framed it thusly: If someone is offered a bad deal, I point out how there’s no reason to take said deal simply for having been made an offer, like it’s literally beyond these liberals imaginations that negotiating is a haggling match and leverage must be offered and counteroffered, especially when it comes to international diplomacy.
