In this video, there is a short video clip (used as citation) where Hasan alleges that twitch streamers and influencers (including big celebrities like Drake) provide a link with an affiliate link to their fan-base. The influencer makes a commission on the loses of anyone who loses money using their affiliate link.
Online gambling influencers are actively profiting off of the harm they are inflicting on their own fans.
One problem with the premise of this video. Normalization, specifically toxic IMO, of offline gambling has already existed for decades before the internet. What popular sitcom does not have at least 1 “let’s blow all our money at a casino!” episodes?
