Vietnam is better.
People speak English more easily and it’s more friendly to Westerners (if you are one) for better or for worse.
You can get people to help you there as well too.
I believe that there are less stringent laws regarding the Internet as well so you should be good.
Another country would be Bolivia, in my book.
Why Bolivia?
I’ve been there (during the 2019 coup).
I daresay that it’s more staunchly anti-imperialist than Venezuela. More people seem to prefer MAS than Venezuelans to Maduro. After the restoration of MAS, it’s been much more anti-imperialist and anti-Western.
But again, I recommend Vietnam (less culture-shock compared to China).

It’s much easier to get an ESL job in Vietnam than it is in China, for example, at least percentage-wise.

Possibly, but I don’t think they will.
What makes you think that they won’t? The temptation of capital is unfortunately very strong.
What is MAS?
Coalitionary party with socialists and communists.
If it’s static content, then whatever country your audience is in.
With how draconian the west is getting, I doubt it.
