God I just wish I was happy with how I looked. I would take it over passing in an heartbeat. If I could look in the mirror and just not hate what I see I’d take that over never getting misgendered again, I just want to be comfortable in my own skin for the first time in my life. I’d kill even to have a minute of that.
I’m going to fucking get there one day, no matter what it takes. I’ve been on HRT for a year but have done basically nothing else to transition, but I’m going to put the effort in. I want to be happy so desperately badly and I’m done just wishing for it and I’m going to really start going for it.

At a campus protest rn. Hundred or so people (me included) showed out for Palestine. Literally three people showed up for the counterprotest
I’m seeing the same sorts of trends in Palestine-related protests around where I live. Hundreds turning out with a variety of ages and ethnicities in support of Palestine, almost no counter-protesters, and total radio silence on these events in the media. I think the pro-Israel western establishment is quietly freaking out that the western grassroots are either indifferent or hostile to Israel’s colonialism.

My “hot take” is that I still despise the “unlimited genocide on the first world” meme. It strikes me as making genocide seem like some sort of joke. It’s not. It’s a crime against humanity.

It’s only ever half a joke to me. Sometimes when you see the crimes of the first world and the at best absolute apathy, at worst slavering delight the people here hold for it, the phrase rises up your throat like bile.

Yeah, I think it also gives cover for a lot of reactionary behavior that shouldn’t be allowed in a communist space. Liberal ideas such as “revenge” and other shit. You can see it a little in the Gaza conflict in which some hexbears reflexively defend unconfirmed war crimes instead of just saying “If that’s true, the individuals should be punished but that doesn’t invalidate the moral superiority of the Palestinian cause.”
Of course, most of these posters are also white westerners but I have to wonder, ya know?

In any case I had a job interview this morning that I think actually went ok for once but now I’m in total doomer mode over it because literally everyone else they are interviewing is way more qualified than I am.
I treated myself to junk food and hyperpop for lunch while I decompressed fron the interview. Now I’m getting ready to go to therapy and my head hurts and I sort of wanna curl up in bed.
