oh yeah, there’s been a bunch of videos getting posted about “China’s economy isn’t just collapsing, but has already collapsed” which is a nice change of pace from the usual “everything will turn to shit in a week” that usually gets posted. From what I remember reading, their economy grew through all 3 completed quarters of 2023, and the central government is focusing quite hard on trying to deflate the massive property balloon, which will probably impact GDP measurements for the next few quarters, depending on how much damage they are willing to accept.
