This article has all the answers to its own questions but then dismisses them to feign confusion as if it’s a good point.

Biden’s frank comments make clear that the U.S.-Israel “bond” is not about defending democracy. Rather, it has always been, and still is, about American imperial interests in the region.

It is about defending democracy AND American imperial interests, part of what America exports by force is Democracy, go ask Iraq.

So, if this bond is simply about naked self-interest, why all the fuss about whether Israel is labelled a democracy or an apartheid and racist state?

“Why all the fuss” is doing such work here. You’re asking why the US would care if it’s important strategic ally was labeled a racist apartheid state? It’s because that important strategic ally wouldn’t like it, and they are an important strategic ally. Plus, it makes the US look bad if their important strategic ally is a racist apartheid state. It is thus in America’s naked self interest to NOT have Israel labeled a racist apartheid state.

Is it that hard to figure out?

There’s actually another side to consider, religious zealotry and extremism. American Christians (and also some European ones I would imagine) see the existence of the Israeli state as the cornerstone of the prophecies surrounding the return of Christ and the end of times.

This blind belief by itself it’s enough to justify the expenses and costs related to maintaining an Israeli presence in the holy land. They want Jews to be there because it’s part of their prophecy that when Jesus is going to return he will have to punish the people who betrayed him and his father.

When they tell you that drugs are bad and damage your brain they are confusing drugs with religions.

      Fucking losers
