To be honest i don’t know any actual studies or data on this, but there’s few reasons i believe this:
1.Germany made or helped making anti-capitalist movies (ex.Diarios de motocicleta, Le jeune Karl Marx, Carlos, Der Baader Meinhof Komplex, etc.) And there’s none pro-communist Polish movies that i know of, you’d probably be boycotted or maybe even had to face legal action if you tried to make one.
2.Poland wants to crack down on “Communist sybmols” while Germany doesn’t seem to care.
The flag of the defunct Communist Party of Germany (KPD) is still banned in the country under section 86a of the German criminal code, while the hammer and sickle symbol itself is considered a universal symbol and is legally used by the contemporary German Communist Party (DKP) and various other organisations and media.
Vs Poland:
In 2009, in Poland § 2 to 4 were added to Article 256, which ban “fascist, communist or other totalitarian symbols” unless used “as part of artistic, educational, collecting or academic activity.” On 19 July 2011, the Constitutional Tribunal of Poland found this ban partly unconstitutional due to the violation of freedom of expression. In June 2017, Poland updated its “decommunization” legislation to include Soviet propaganda monuments, prompting negative reactions from the Russian government. However, communist symbols are not prohibited by law in Poland (yet).
Both are bad, but Poland is worse, and Poland will probably get even worse in near future.
3.Poland is way more conservative than Germany (abortion, LGBT).
4.Elections:
2020 Presidential Elections in Poland - Best candidate we had was probably Waldemar Witkowski from Unia Pracy party (“Labor Union”), but i think that party is just Social Democracy, and it’s pro EU. But his slogan was “Person is more important than Capital”, and he was supported by KPP (Communist Polish Party - Marxists Leninists). He got 0,14% of votes.
Second best was Robert Biedroń, also Social Democrat but i think he’s even more of a liberal. He was supported by PPS (Polish Socialist Party - Democratic Socialists). He got 2,22% of votes.
So that’s total 2,36% of votes for the left, the rest are just Conservatives, Nationalists, Liberals, “Centrists”, “Endecja” (Fascism), Monarchists, Libertarians and Ancaps.
2021 German Federal Elections (I’m taking this info straight from Wikipedia, i don’t know if these descriptions are correct) - Social Democrats get 26,4% of votes, The Greens 14% (Soc Dems?), The Left 5% (DemSocs/Luxemburgists?), Human Environment Animal Protection 0,4% (Soc Dems?),
+1.2% if we consider Die Partei to be left wing (They’re a satirical party that wants to rebuild Berlin Wall and wage war of aggression against Liechtenstein).
There’s also MLPD (Marxist-Leninist Party of Germany - MLM’s?) and DKP (German Communist Party - also ML), but they both got 0,0% of votes, so probably like 0,09% or something.
But that’s total 47% of votes for the left.
You would think that the country that was invaded by fascists would turn anti-fascist, and ex-fascist country would still have tendencies to be fascistic, but the opposite happened. So why is that the case? Both had ML governments, so what the fuck is going on?

u/The_All-Seeing_Snoo - originally from r/GenZhouThe majority of maps in Google do not show the Rus owning anything beyond the modern borders of Poland. That being said, the Polish have been inferior and havent really became a great power until the Jagielleons a ton during its lifespan.
Poland has been beaten up by the HRE during the reign of the Piast Dynasty a lot of times.
Poland has been cursed to be the neighbor to the Mongols/Golden Horde and has experienced countless raids in its eastern frontier.
Once the Piast dynasty fell out of power, it would be in a Personal Union with Louis I of Hungary.
There was a steady rise in power after this though…
The Jagiellons would unify Poland and the recently powerful Grand Duchy of Lithuania, who picked off the corpse of the Golden Horde and expanded into 3x the size of Poland.
They would unify into the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, although sadly it was an elective monarchy.
They were very populous and would even occupy Moscow during the Time of Russian Troubles during the very early 1600’s (they lost it however because the King of the Commonwealth refused to allow his son who woudlve been Tsar of Russia to convert to Orthodoxy)
They also had a Personal Union with Sweden under the House of Vasa during Sigismund III’s reign.
But then Russia became an Empire, and you know what happened…
Partition of the Commonwealth.
ANOTHER Partition of the Commonwealth
AND ANOTHER Partit- and they killed Poland.
It would be restored for a short period after Napoleon’s Wacky Adventures Across Europe.
Then integrated into Russia.
When the Russian Empire fell, the Polish declared independence. With 1000kg of balls, they defeat the newly created Soviet Union in the very underrated Polish-Soviet War.
