They all use pretty much the same system (except maybe DPRK). What makes the USA want to trade with the latter countries but not when it comes to Cuba or DRPK? Thanks in advance

    Because there is money to be made in China, Vietnam and Laos, whereas Cuba and especially DPRK are much less tolerant of foreign investement into their economies. DPRK and Cuba serve as an ‘example’ of how terrible socialism supposedly is so they need to do their absolute best to make sure these countries do not succeed.

      Even with all the sanctions seeing Cuba excel in medicine just puts faith in how powerful they will be when the sanctions lift. Creating vaccines for cancer and HIV under decades of intense embargoes? It’s honestly a crime that they’re unable to trade with anyone else due to American greed and bigotry.
