I have been posting Trek memes constantly for the past month from a vault of about 2000 that I have saved. I just realized I have a vault of about 1000 Star Wars memes that I’ve never even considered posting. Should probably fix that. I’ve just gotta go back through the community more to make sure i’m not gonna repost some stuff you’ve already seen here.
I had been wondering about the aging of characters. Star Wars continuity is terrible.
Also, please share all of your memes (at a reasonable pace).
You’re not wrong about the continuity. Just sort of all over the place at times.
And of course. I’ve got no intentions of spamming the community or anything. I’m not doing it for attention or whatever counts as karma on Lemmy. I just like having an excuse to go through all the stuff I have saved. Plus you get to see a lot of other jokes and stuff from other people. Not to mention the great conversations that could arise from it.
Plus Lemmy honestly needs more content
I agree. That’s one reason why I started posting, wanting to see more people talking about Star Trek. Since August 16th I’ve made 291 posts. That’s 6.0625 posts per day, if my Alexa did the math right. I post a lot to !risa@startrek.website with all my Trek memes but I have been dabbling in other subs recently as well. Slowly spreading out. While I am obsessed with Star Trek, I know an unhealthy amount of Star Wars stuff. However my opinions on Star Wars tend to piss people off so I mostly keep those to myself. You won’t, however, see me bashing on anything in any of the posts I make. I come bearing good vibes only.
For Obi-Wan it’s stated in a few places that Tatooine aged beings prematurely (headcannon being because it has two suns) so he makes sense. As for Yoda perhaps it was partially intentional to disguise himself and partially because of the dark side force nexus that he lived beside was a trial to fight and it aged him
Yoda nearly had a heart attack during the clone wars, honestly.
that plus war, shit will age you.
