Israel has always been an antisemitic state, especially if you consider people besides European Jews to be semites. It’s just bog standard European settler colonialism using old testament mythology as a window dressing. The whole idea of zionism was a result of European antsemitism anyway. Europeans couldn’t stop expelling, pogroming, segregating, discriminating, and holocausitng Jews for five seconds so Jews sought their own nation and some sort of Westphalean idea of sovereignty. i.e. nationalism. Problem is, you can’t really do that without settling somewhere already occupied, and you can’t do nationalism on an ethnic basis without it being ethnonationalism, so bada bing bada boom your innocent quest for liberation from discrimination from Europe becomes an ethnonationalist land grab in palestine which, interestingly enough, receives the funding and praise from all the Christian nations that used to oppress you.
