It was a little sketchy gotta admit. I have a 3 wheel bike, I had it sideways with budgie cords holding it in place, pro tip, balance it for center of mass not just the middle of the fridge. I had to be a little careful accelerating or braking too hard. It was about a 15min trip so it wasn’t that far.
definitely easier with no need to balance. It’s funny though because it does take a little practise to learn to use, you have to unlearn turning the handles to correct for a lean, the first time anyone ride it then always just end up turning in circles. It’s a pricey bike, but it’s very worth it IMO.
unfortunately as an american in the suburbs, bikes arnt useful for anything aside from leisure. wish they were. and I say this as an avid car enthusiast, but were too reliant on cars herw
Trust me, Canada is not much better, I moved specifically to one of the best biking cities in the province specifically because I just hate driving so much. Gotta be loud and annoying to the city to get it to happen, because the only thing stopping it is the political will to do it.
I buy all of my groceries by bike, no problems whatsoever. If this is not doable where you live, your built environment might be constructed incorrectly. Vote for some politicians who are planning to undo that mistake.
I live in a very hilly city with very few sidewalks. Even going a block away typically needs a car to be safe. A car is a necessity even in the city because of its layout. Ya, it’s a fixable problem but let’s be honest. You can’t removed about people not using bikes in a place that’s not safe to use them. Change needs to come from the top down.
I’m 230lbs at 5’11”. I’m obese. I’m also probably healthier than about half the people I know.
I’d love to change, but with degenerative disc disease it’s tough to walk through the store at times, let alone actually work out. I threw out my back standing in line at the post office last week.
Where I live, there’s a lot of elderly people. It’s a very aged population. I’d imagine they’re going to struggle to be healthier just like I would. So expecting biking and walking out of this area is just not going to happen.

Humans starved to death frequently before the invention of the car simply because they couldn’t carry enough food. So tragic.
My cargo ebike holds a week of groceries easily. Biggest thing I’ve taken is a fridge.
how did u take a whole ass fridge on ur bike

What model are you using?
The emmo trobic c
Yeah ok, I can believe that’d hold a week.

I can carry my groceries on my bike pretty easily. How out of shape are you?
Very. And I’m actually in shape comparatively.

Even if you need a car to deliver, it doesn’t need to be your car. Work-vehicles properly scaled to their job are fine.
That’s what I do every other day though?
