If they are gonna burn religious books, why not include more of them? Burn bibles, qurans, vedas, tanakhs, etc. Make the event more inclusive :)

It’s weird. The Swedes are pretty tolerant.

Americans we can burn the Koran. It’s out right but it either never happens or people never riot over it.

I’d never burn one as I believe in respecting others. I’m an atheist but I’m not anti-religion.

The people burning it has mainly been a Danish right wing extremist and an Iraqi asylum seeker. Hardly any Swede.

Yeah, I’m all for calling every citizen and even permanent residents “a Swede” but none that have burned the Quran qualify for that label afaik.

It’s not sweedes who are doing it. It just happens is sweeden.

A Christian man who immigrated from Iraq to Sweden stomped on a Koran then burnt it on June 28, 2023, in front of Stockholm’s largest mosque on the first day of the Muslim holiday of Eid.

He was denied citizenship, by the way.

I’m definitely an antireligionist and I’ve never burned a book at all. I’m not even all that respectful, I just don’t see the point.
