Truthfully I enjoy hexbear’s federation. The constant drama on the multifront ideological war against “liberals” keeps shit pretty interesting
The entire point of the fediverse is to pick and choose what you want to see, so leaving it up to the user to block an instance is a better solution. The only exceptions should be illegal content and if the instance is explicitly devoted to specific subjects or ethics (lemmygrad, beehaw). Plus, I think subjugating communities increases polarity overall
We’re living the infancy of the platform. Once there’s better content/comment moderation this won’t be as much of a problem and people will complain less
